Tennis is a sport in Wii Sports. It can have 1 to 4 players and the aim of the game is to defeat your opponents.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Tennis gameplay

Before starting the match, the players decide where they will be on the court. They can have duplicates of themselves, or just remove their Mii from the game and watch CPUs playing. In the match players press A to throw the ball in the air and swing the the Wii remote to serve. If the ball is hit at the right moment, it will be a harder and faster serve. The ball is in play until there is an out, a second bounce, or the player hit the ball into the net and it bounces back to their side.

As a player progresses in skill level, the crowd watching the match grows larger. An opponent's skill level ranges from around 0 to 2000. When a player passes 2000 in skill level, they receive a letter informing them that they beat the champion (Elisa). The maximum skill level possible is 2399.

Training[edit | edit source]

The training games for this sport are Returning Balls, Timing Your Swing and Target Practice.

Changing court[edit | edit source]

The normal grassy court can be changed to the blue practice court by holding the "2" button after selecting your Mii. This practice court is the same one in the training activities.
